Inside a Custom Apparel Production Network: From Yarn to Finished Garment

A custom hoodie looks simple, but getting from raw yarn to a boxed, inspected garment takes a coordinated production network of specialised workshops. Here is the journey every order takes across our supply-chain partners.

It starts with yarn selection — cotton, cotton/poly blends, French terry or fleece at the GSM weight you specify. Circular and flat-knitting machines turn yarn into fabric, setting the hand feel, stretch and weight of the finished piece.

Fabric is dyed to your colour (Pantone matching available) and finished for softness, shrinkage control and colour-fastness. Selected fabrics in our supply chain are OEKO-TEX® certified for verified textile safety.

Approved fabric is spread in layers and cut — by die or automated cutter — to the pattern pieces in your tech pack, keeping sizing consistent across the run.

Cut panels move to sewing lines, where flat-lock and overlock machines assemble the garment. This is where fit details — drop shoulders, ribbing, cuffs, drawcords — come to life.

Printing and embroidery are applied by in-house and partner workshops: screen and high-density digital printing, puff and 3D prints, and computerised embroidery for logos and artwork.

Garments are inspected inline and at final stage — measurements, stitching, print alignment and wash tests — before being folded, bagged, labelled and boxed to your packing spec.
